I was commissioned to design and paint on the black board windows inside the newly opened Turkish breakfast restaurant in Dubai. The original restaurant is in Istanbul & the general feel of the decor presentation is warm, homey and cozy.
The drawings I used are driven from the design elements found in the restaurant and key quintessential cultural elements from Çeşme/Izmir/Türkiye.
What is Bazlama?
Bazlama, is a leavened, circular flatbread from Turkish cuisine.
What is a kahvaltı?
In Turkey, breakfast is extremely importantly they call it (Kahvalti), which literally means, before coffee.
